Unfair tax breaks

Regarding “Extra money can be a curse” (Editorial, June 5): Enough is enough. California has lived with the devastating consequences of Prop. 13 for far too long. It’s time to revise this law which gives corporations an unneeded and unfair tax break. “Extra money can be a curse” is right on.

We need a reliable source of revenue to fund the social safety net that makes life better for all Californians. It’s a shared public shame that a state as wealthy as California doesn’t adequately fund education, mental health services, libraries and first responders.
