Morsal Azimi

Morsal is a senior at UC Berkeley majoring in Political Science with double minors in Public Policy and Middle Eastern Languages and Cultures. Living in Southern California, she volunteered at various K-12 after-school programs through the YMCA, where she gained a deep understanding of how schools within the same county can face significant disparities in funding, equipment, and infrastructure. These experiences inspired Morsal to learn more about the public school system through Public Policy classes at UC Berkeley. She is passionate about advocating for increased funding for public schools and educating communities to support putting Proposition 13 reform measures back on the ballot. Morsal’s goal is to help improve equitable opportunities and learning resources for all California public schools. In her free time, she enjoys reading novels, spending time with her cat, and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.
