California fires: What you need to know about the largest wildfires burning across the state
Multiple major wildfires burned in Northern California, including the Tamarack Fire south of Lake Tahoe and the Dixie Fire in Butte and Plumas counties as the state’s already highly active fire season continued.
Across California, 276 new fires started in the past week alone, according to Cal Fire officials.
