Climate Crisis Impacts Our Public Schools

As California considers a proposal to make climate change a required part of the K-12 curriculum, climate change is impacting our classrooms like never before. Schools have, and will continue to be, harmed by wildfires, extreme heat waves, and weather related closures. The pandemic has already sent shockwaves through California public schools, and we need to provide MORE funding to equip our students for climate emergencies and ensure their education will not be disrupted.

Additionally, California students need to be aware that the climate crisis is real. If we want to inspire young minds to become the climate scientists of the future, we need to equip them with the resources they need TODAY.
